What is the value of an MBA?
The MBA program can be a valuable tool in furthering your career and improving your earning potential. Recent surveys have indicated that starting salaries for MBAs in the U.S. are at their highest ever, commanding a considerable premium over comparable graduate degrees (newscenter.gmac.com/news-releases/news-release-details/mba-salaries-us-highest-record). For working professionals, salaries increases have been considerable even in traditionally low-paying industries, with some sectors reporting salary raises in excess of 60% (poetsandquants.com/2019/03/22/where-mbas-make-the-largest-salary-leaps/). Apart from these tangible monetary benefits, the MBA program can contribute to your growth as a person, in both your work and social life—increased self-confidence, better analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, improved communication and time-management skills, enhanced social capital and credibility, and an expanded worldview.
